Default Invisible fencing?

Does anyone else have invisible fencing for the yard? We have it- actually when we bought the house the house was already set up with the invisible fence. I stated before that our boxer came with the house- so she was already trained. The Corgi took a bit of time.

I love the fencing- We own 5 acres of land and the dogs are both free to go throughout almost the entire property. They don't have to be tied up outside at all.

Anyone else have this?

Yes we have it on 3 1/2 acres. We are way up a hill away from the road so no worries about anyone strange coming into our yard. And no other animals ever come into the yard because my three beasts do a good job keeping them out.

They love the freedom to run around, graze, and do as they please. I love watching them chase a rabbit at full speed and then stop dead when they get to the line. hehe.

I don't have it, but I cant get it because of the shelter I adopted from. They made you agree not to use invisible fencing before you adopted any of their pets. I would love to have it though because the yard we are in doesnt allow for fencing since it is a corner lot. Instead we had to fence in just the patio.

Our invisible fence goes right past our side door (the one we use)- that way if there is anyone trying to get into the house that the dogs don't know- they will let them know.

I'm amazed at how the dogs know when to stop. It's funny when I take off their collars- I put them on the ground and they sniff them- they still won't go across the fence!

Yeah only one of mine still wears his collar. The other two just know what their boundaries are, doesnt even matter about getting shocked they just understand they arent allowed past a certain point. Mr Tucker though knows exactly when the collar is off and will bolt... he comes right back but finds it fun to do so lol.

My friend had the invisible fence and it work well except for the Rottweiler he had did not care about the shock and would go beyond the fence line all the time. Most of the time though it works great.

I did hear that some dogs just don't care and run through- that is when I think you should not use them-
Eliza is the same way- you can take off her collar and she still won't go anywhere near the line- it's cute.
I love the fencing because it gives the dogs more area to play in.

We have plenty of room to run here, but our chocolate Lab always wanted more. I felt awful having to keep him in a run, so getting an invisible fence has been great for both of us. As others said, even when the fence goes down he doesn't test it.

I've always been curious about invisible fence, but never tried it. When i get my next dog, it's a definite possibility.

We own 3 acres and have thought about getting the invisible fencing.

We decided against it because all of the neighbors love it when our dog goes and visits them.
She has a route that she goes daily to visit everyone~ it is actually very funny.
